  if an atheist leads good life with high moral standards, because he choice to do so and thinks for logic it is a good thing, does it not mean much more then when a theist does the same, because his gods tells him to do it?

  This doesn't have anything to do really with the topic but its funny so I will share with you.

  My best friend is an Atheist, I trust him more than my JW brothers (Blood brothers) and he actually has a friend who he works with and hangs around with after work, who is a JW, (I'm not sure how much of a JW he is for having a friend like him) anyway, my friend (Atheist) is always talking crap to his friend (JW) yesterday he told me that he said to (JW boy) "My god thinks your god doesn't exists", I nearly choked on my coffee from laughing!

  This (JWboy) who only acts like a JW when its for his own benifit, case in point, my friends b-day, JWboy didn't show up to the party, but will accept B-day presents, and last year he came to our Halloween party, but got offended over a ouji board that was at the party, and it was there only as a decoration. Well Atheist friend got pissed off at JWboy over him preaching about it at the Halloween party and told him FCUK Jehoebah, I wish you could have seen the look on JWboy's face, I think he wanted to cry. Don't mess with a drunk Atheist.

  Its too bad that all of us live so far away, reading your message, made me wish I could bring some food to you, flowers or something to give you a bit of support or comfort, its too bad that JW shun people in difficult times, I know how that feels.

  " - please.. ok.... how do the witness justify the bible and at the same time condem catholicism et all.... i mean, the books in the bible were picked by the council of nicea - which according the the witnesses - were part of the great appostasy and sanctioned by the same group of religious leaders they condemn..

  I hear about many religions, including JW, Mormons, International Church of Christ, and Victory Outreach (AKA GANGSTA churchizzle) anyway, they are threatened by the Catholic church, other than Jewish, Muslim, Catholic's have the history and if you looked up the Chronological chart of Popes in the book, Dictionary of Saints by J. Delaney, it lists St. Peter as first pope, then St. Linus 67-76 all the way to Pope John Paul 1978- (Printed 2003), now compare that to say Jemina's Witnesses, who was their first leader humm right around the time the first horseless carriages were made? or if they go back as far as William Miller? Circa 1844? see when you are a new religion, your biggest threat is real religions who have a strong foundation, history and tradition.

  Maybe this is why JW's are so afraid of their members going into a catholic church, afraid that their members would see what real church looks like.

  The council of Nicea also gave us the Nicene Creed:

  We believe in one God,
  the Father, the Almighty,
  maker of heaven and earth,
  of all that is, seen and unseen.

  We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
  the only Son of God,
  eternally begotten of the Father,
  God from God, light from light,
  true God from true God,

  i got rid of all my led zeppelin (satanic backtracking and all that baloney).

  I have a couple Tolken books, but I have all the Harry Potter books, my JW sister came to visit my house and had to spend the night, she refused to spend the night in the same room with Harry, Can you believe that!
